Kate returned to her alma mater and joined the SUNY Oswego Career Services team in November 2022. Kate identified her drive to support students’ success while serving as a teacher assistant, research assistant, and group leader throughout her undergraduate experience at SUNY Oswego. This led Kate to earn a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University and gain experience through internships in the areas of disability culture, student activities, and of course, career services. Since then, Kate has gained years of extensive experience working in career services with a particular focus on enhancing students’ access to career development. In her previous role, Kate also served as an adjunct professor teaching an online professional career management course. Kate regularly participates in professional development activities to continue to expand her skills and knowledge, such as completing the Facilitating Career Development training through the National Career Development Association and becoming certified to administer the Strong Interest Inventory. Outside of work, Kate enjoys going for walks, attending concerts, watching new shows/movies, and getting creative with cooking, drawing, ceramics, and crocheting.
