Scholars, scientists, educators and students are invited to submit proposals by March 15 for the 21st annual Rice Creek Associates Small Grants Program. Approved projects must involve work at SUNY Oswego’s Rice Creek Field Station.
Awards will be announced on or about April 15. They are expected to range between $500 and $3,000, said Dr. Peter Rosenbaum, professor of biological sciences at SUNY Oswego. Over $10,000 in awards is available for 2016. Grant recipients need not be affiliated with the college or the field station.
The program, established in 1996, is intended to support and encourage research, education and public service projects at Rice Creek Field Station. Proposals oriented toward basic and applied research in field biology, the natural sciences, earth sciences, education, social sciences and service projects will be considered.
