Q. What interested you in attending Oswego?

Ever since my high school, I have always wanted to study abroad in the United States. That has been my dream since I graduated from high school. I was looking for colleges only in New York state because that's what my granddad decided, and then I can never say no to my granddad. His decisions are always the best and wisest. And I ran into SUNY Oswego and I talked to the International Student Office, and they were very receptive, they were very informational. That really made me feel like this is the college for me here in the U.S. and this is where I should go and this is where I feel connected.

Q. What made you want to study anthropology?

My first semester, I took this cultural anthropology class and that really was so informational and something that I could really see myself doing even after I graduated from SUNY Oswego. I also think it's very important to see the world from different perspectives, and I think anthropology really strikes and checks all those boxes.

Q. What interested you in global and international studies?

I really wanna work in the United Nations at some point, and that's my dream goal. Since my school time, I've been participating in Model United Nations, like mock UN, and here in the campus, I'm part of the Model United Nation club. So it really helps me know more about the United Nations and how they work. I really believe in doing your part and making an impact in the world, and I think raising your voice is important. And my majors really help me find a way or an outlet to do that.

Q. What are your future plans?

After college life, I see myself doing an internship first. I really want to work in a UN internship. And after that, I want to join a graduate school too because in my family, I would be the first person to go into graduate school.
