Three SUNY Oswego CSTEP (Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program) students were among those helping with a recent Micron-sponsored Chip Camp hosted at Onondaga Community College (OCC) for more than 100 students from Onondaga and Oswego counties.
It was SUNY Oswego graduate student Jared Cucinotta’s own experience with a school psychologist in middle school that inspired him to pursue a career where he can help kids who are struggling like he did. For fellow Oswego student Marcus Lombardo, he knew he enjoyed working with kids, and wanted a career that would allow him to work with kids while using data to improve student outcomes. A new program is helping them both help others.
SUNY Oswego recently earned the Operation Oswego County (OOC) 2023 Ally Award for the institution’s long tradition of contributing to the region’s economic development and especially for the work the university and the county have done together over the past year.
