SUNY Oswego continues to rank among the most military-friendly and supportive universities, according to the Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges ranking, released in November 2024.

SUNY Oswego has become an affiliate of the Bee Campus USA program, designed to marshal the strengths of educational campuses for the benefit of pollinators. Oswego joins many other cities and campuses across the country united in improving their landscapes for pollinators.

SUNY Oswego’s commitment to supporting a wide range of students has earned ongoing recognition, including with Abound College Awards including under the Finish College Awards for Best Online Colleges: North 2024 and Best Colleges for Adults: 2024.

SUNY Oswego psychology faculty member Mark Mirabito has earned the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching.

Two SUNY Oswego faculty members –- Andrea Pagano and Allison Rank –- have earned the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.

The 2024 SUNY Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Professional Service recognized two important members of the SUNY Oswego community in Kristin I. Gublo, instructional support specialist for the Chemistry Department, and Magdalena (Maggie) D. Rivera, assistant dean of students for student outreach and support.

SUNY Oswego faculty member Lisa Glidden, a professor of political science and director of global and international studies, has earned the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service.

Michelle (Shelly) Sloan, SUNY Oswego assistant dean of students for student well-being, recently received three awards from the SUNY Council of Senior Student Affairs Officers -- the Mental Health Champion Award and two honors for outstanding programs.

Rodrick Andrews, SUNY Oswego’s assistant vice president for admissions and financial aid, was among 35 outstanding higher education professionals selected for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU)’s latest Emerging Leaders Program (ELP).

SUNY Oswego was recognized among the top achievers by the Broadcast Education Association (BEA)’s 2024 Recognition of Institutional Excellence in Media.
