Visiting artist Anna Oxygen will collaborate with SUNY Oswego music faculty member Paul Leary for a multimedia and multisensory performance at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13 in the Sheldon Hall ballroom.

The event is the next installment in the music department’s Ke-Nekt Chamber Music Series.

Oxygen will perform, in collaboration with Leary, a partially improvised electronic and vocal music program inside of a live green screen set and simultaneously projected into the space as an immersive 3D environment. The program will touch upon group shapes, sonic encounters and protest bodies spanning 2D to 3D and back again.

Leary also will perform his original composition “Reverberations” for pendulum, electronics and shakuhachi flute.

Oxygen is a performer, multimedia artist, composer and sculptor of events and experiences whose work teases out intersections of body, presence, object and ritual while considering the social codes and structures that define or permeate these intersections.

Tickets, available at tickets.oswego.edu, are free for SUNY Oswego students; $5 for other students and youths; $12 for faculty, staff and alumni; and $15 for the general public.
