This year’s OzFest concert on May 9 will feature multi-platinum hip hop artist Polo G and R&B sensation Mariah the Scientist. Students from Oswego's own Digital Music Association will open the show.

Doors open to the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall at 6:30 p.m. for the concert, presented by the Student Association Programming Board.

Polo G, born Taurus Tremani Bartlett, rose to prominence with singles "Finer Things" and "Pop Out." His debut album “Die a Legend” (2019) peaked at #6 on the US Billboard 200.

Subsequent releases built ever-increasing popularity. Polo G's second studio album, “The Goat,” rose to #2 on the Billboard 200, boasting 10 songs charting on the Billboard Hot 100. His subsequent third album, “Hall of Fame,” became his first chart-topping record, also spawning his first number-one single, "Rapstar." All three records were certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Mariah the Scientist, born Mariah Buckles, began building her following with a 2018 EP “To Die For,” followed by two studio albums (“Master” and “Ry Ry World”) and a pair of EPs (“The Intermission” and “Bubbling Under”).

Her big breakout came with the 2023 record “To Be Eaten Alive,” which entered the Billboard top 100 albums, as well as hitting #14 on the R&B charts. She also has collaborated with a variety of hip hop, R&B and other stars on releases to continue to expand her audience.

Tickets cost $20 for students and $25 for the general public, available online or at the Marano Campus Center box office.
