Campus members came together to “Cram the Van” in the SHOP (Students Helping Oz Peers) event aimed at collecting non-perishable food, clothing and toiletries from students and campus offices to donate to the SHOP pantry.
SHOP staff "crammed" the donations in a SUNY Oswego van in the drive, which took place Nov. 8 through 12 in all residence halls and four administrative buildings. In total, the drive collected more than 20 boxes of food and four bags of winter wear and professional clothing.
In the friendly residence hall competition, Johnson Hall was declared the winner for most goods donated, and they received a “Cram the Van” banner in acknowledgement of their winning status.
If you missed this chance to donate, SHOP accepts donations any time they are open. You can bring things down to the basement of Penfield Library. See SHOP's website for hours.
