SUNY Oswego's sociology department and sports studies minor present the ninth annual Sportsmanship Day Symposium at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, March 2, in Room 103 of Lanigan Hall. This event is free and open to the public.
SUNY Oswego students and staff recently helped a new homeowner and Habitat for Humanity in Omaha -- one of four alternative winter break trips, along with New Orleans; Memphis; and Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
"Lessons from Tragedy: A Conversation on School Safety and Preparedness" will feature the retired principal of Columbine High School and a survivor of the Virginia Tech shooting who then created a national support foundation, at 5 p.m.
