On Tuesday Dec. 3, SUNY Oswego’s Cinema and Screen Studies Department will host a screening of their finished 16 mm short films on local historic treasure Fort Ontario in the Marano Campus Center auditorium (room 132).

The Endless Deep duo will perform 2024's last show in SUNY Oswego's Ke-nekt' Chamber Music Series at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, in Sheldon Hall ballroom.

According to Lemony Snicket, the pseudonym for author Daniel Handler, who will appear on campus on Monday, Dec. 2: “Never trust anyone who has not brought a book with them.”  Attendees to this talk, which will include a booksigning, might want to follow this advice and bring a book, organizers said.

The SUNY Oswego Theatre Department production of “John Proctor is the Villain,” opening Nov. 13, chronicles teenangers exploring the hardships of high school while studying the classic novel “The Crucible.“

The Clay Bodies Ceramics Club will host their annual Empty Bowls fundraiser on Nov. 15 supporting the food pantries of SHOP (Students Helping Oz Peers) on campus and the Human Concerns Center in the community, with the student club hosting some opportunities starting this weekend to help create the products.

Sari Fordham, whose fascinating girlhood is captured in her extraordinary memoir about a naïve yet brave missionary family navigating tumultuous 1970s Uganda, is the next speaker on SUNY Oswego's Living Writers Series, at 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28.

SUNY Oswego cinema and screen studies faculty members Tiffany Deater and Jarrod Hagadorn announced the release of the documentary they produced as part of a select group that will take part in the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU)’s Stewardship of Public Lands program, an initiative of AASCU’s American Democracy Project.

The SUNY Oswego Theatre Department has been preparing for the opening night of the Laramie Project since April, with interesting facets including each cast member playing more than one character.

The SUNY Oswego Theatre department will present “The Laramie Project,” the true and tragic story of a boy who was targeted for being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, on the Waterman Theatre stage Oct. 16 to 20.
