SUNY Oswego has appointed communication studies professor and chair Dr. Mary Toale as interim dean of graduate studies, effective Jan. 12, announced Walter Roettger, the college’s acting provost and vice president of academic affairs.

Healthcare in the digital era—telemedicine, big data, decision analytics, computer networks integrating patient and caregiver information, and more—has led to the launch of SUNY Oswego’s newly approved graduate degree in biomedical and health informatics.

Scales Hall, at 55 years old the last of four SUNY Oswego residence halls built on the Lakeside area of campus, will follow in the footsteps of Waterbury Hall, undergoing a $13.1 million renovation scheduled to begin Dec. 19.
