A record number of current students and/or recent alumni at SUNY Oswego are scheduled to go abroad under the prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student program in 2018-19.

Campus Compact recently named Joseph DiLuca, a fourth-year accounting/MBA major, one of only 268 Newman Civic Fellows nationwide for 2018-19, thanks to his sustained community service, including raising awareness of the dangers of food allergies as a way to share lessons from his cousin's death.

Students active in academics, research, leadership, athletics and community service will receive the 2018 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence -- the highest student recognition through the statewide university system.

The internationally touring Houston Ballet II -- one of the nation's premier second companies -- will provide a "rare treat" for Central New Yorkers as it performs a diverse range of classic and contemporary works at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, on SUNY Oswego's Waterman Theatre stage.

SUNY Oswego's online MBA ranks highest in New York state and 33rd nationally among online master of business administration programs, according to rankings published Jan. 9 by U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 "Best Online Degree Programs: MBA."

SUNY Oswego and its vice president for student affairs and enrollment management, Dr. Jerald Woolfolk, recently earned State University-wide awards -- the first time they were ever bestowed -- as the SUNY Diversity Conference recognized their years-long commitment to fostering diversity, inclusion and social justice at the college.

SUNY Oswego School of Business faculty member Efstathios (Stathis) Kefallonitis recently was named a fellow in two prestigious British royal societies, but he is quick to deflect the honors to acknowledge what the college allows him to do.

Colleges of Distinction recently named SUNY Oswego to its 2017-18 listing, citing such character-building opportunities at the college as undergraduate research, a wide variety of internships and co-ops, community service and alternative breaks, intensive writing courses and tutoring, interdisciplinary programs, and an array of international learning options.

SUNY Oswego recently learned it will receive the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) 2017 Excellence and Innovation Award in International Education, a national honor that cites the college for its efforts to embed study abroad in the curriculum and to make study-travel opportunities more accessible to under-represented students.

SUNY Oswego appears on The Princeton Review's recently published "Best Northeastern Colleges" recommended schools for 2018.
