Four SUNY Oswego students have earned the 2023 SUNY Chancellor’s Awards for Student Excellence, the highest such recognition in the state system. These awards recognize outstanding accomplishments inside and outside the classroom for childhood education-English major Kaitlin Flint, zoology major Brooke Goodman, meteorology major Kaitlyn Jesmonth and psychology major Adriana Militello.

Four Oswego students had an excellent showing in their first-ever appearance at the SUNY Model European Union gathering recently, winning an award for Outstanding Agenda Item with sophomore journalism major Aidan Trusz honored as Most Effective Finance Minister.

SUNY Oswego’s Office of Sustainability and its manager, Kate Spector, have earned the 2022 College Recycling Leadership Award from the New York State Association of Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR3) for its composting project.

SUNY Oswego was recently named among the “Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs” by the American College Personnel Association (ACPA)-College Student Educators International in partnership with Diverse: Issues In Higher Education.

Communication studies faculty member Francisco Suarez won the 2022 Silver Signal Award for his podcast “From Suarez’s Basement,” where he goes in depth on the behind the scenes of visual storytelling.

Mamta Saxena of SUNY Oswego’s human development faculty has earned an award from National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) for an outstanding combination of teaching, advising and scholarship.

Laker student-athletes recently received the NCAA Team Works Community Service Competition award, which recognizes student-athletes’ service to their respective communities through divisional competitions, a national honor among all participating Division III schools.

SUNY Oswego’s online master of business administration (MBA) program continues to rank top among public institutions in New York state by U.S. News and World Report in rankings released on Jan. 24.

SUNY Oswego’s menu of sustainability activities once again earned recognition in Princeton Review’s "Guide to Green Colleges."
